Have a look at our ever expanding range of quality vegetable and herb seeds for sale. Imported from Italy, these seeds, produced by Franchi Sementi, established as a family company since 1873m Franchi seeds have proven time and again to provide beautiful varieties of Italian and other European varieties of veegetable and herb seeds with high germination rates and good yields.
Seed packs are generous in quantity and value for money with good shelf life as well.
All seeds shown are the same price (not including postage).

You'll receive an automated repsonse with payment options. We accept Credit cards, Paypal or Bank transfer (and debit cards if purchasing in person).

Broccoli Calabrese "Sprouting broccoli from Calabria" is tender with excellent taste and produces abundant side shoots from the main stem, and secondary stems.

Broccoli Rapini "Broccoli rabe is a delicious green winter vegetable that tastes slightly peppery, cooks quickly and is best braised boiled or steamed until al dente in a little olive oil flavoured with chilli and/or garlic.

Brussell Sprouts mezzo nano "A very good plant with small compact sprouts. Do best with a fertile, moist soil, and a pH above 6.4 and are relatively heavy feeders.

Cabbage Cuor di bue Grosso "Conical, medium-sized head with great taste.

Cabbage negra 3 "Solid, red, smooth heading cabbage. Large and well flavoured with a fine red colour that develops best in the cooler weather.

Cabbage Savoy Mantovano "Mantovano is a green savoy type cabbage with thin crinkled leaves and a sweet texture. Spring or autumn maturing, but best for autumn crops. Cold resistant and will hold well in ground during winter. Large head that stores very well.

Carrot Gigante "Excellent taste in a crisp, conical shaped carrot that does well in heavy soil. Good all around carrot.

Cauliflower Verona Precoce "Good sized head of tasty cream curd on this cauliflower that is a speciality of the Verona area.

Cauliflower Sicilia violetto "Sicilian violet cauliflower is a regional variety from Sicily and is a vigourous plant with broad, green-grey leaves and a striking violet, compact, medium-sized head. Violet curd turns green with cooking and has an excellent taste both raw and cooked. A very attractive plant with sweet mild taste, forms numerous side shoots after cuting main head.

Chicory da Taglio "Light green cutting chicory. Called “cicoretta” and "radicchio" by Italians, this plant has rounded leaves with no serrations and a pleasant mild taste.

Chicory Misticanza "A mix of 12 varieties of radicchio and chicory including spadona, treviso, castlefranco, verona & others and a convenient cut and come again mixture for salads.

Eggplant Violetta Lunga "Long violet" eggplant is a good reliable producer with deep purple fruit to about 20cm. Has a classic rich taste and is grown all over Italy.

Fennel Bianco Perfezione Sometimes called Florence fennel bianco perfezione produces a beautifully white, sweet and crunchy bulb.

Tuscan Kale Cavolo nero, is the only kale grown in Italy and is particularly popular in Tuscany. Wrinkled dark green (almost black) leaves with an excellent sweet flavour

Lettuce Misticanza Mix of 14 lettuce varieties for the perfect salad. Broadcast sow seeds about 2 cm apart from 3 weeks before last frost.

Lettuce Regina di maggio May Queen. This is a beautiful and tasty butter-head lettuce. Green leaves tinged with red. Prefers cooler weather, but will take some summer heat.

Onion Tropea Famous onion from Tropea in Calabria where it has its own festival. Very tender and sweet and considered to have a broad range of health benefits.

Onion ramata di Milano Classic large, ovoid golden onion from Milan. An excellent keeper.

Capsicum (Pepper) Misticanza A mixture of three classic, large peppers from Piemonte region and ideal for salads, roasting or stuffing.

Capsicum (Pepper) Padron From Spain and a famous tapas when fried in olive oil and sprinkled with salt. Produces a large quantity of small green peppers to 8cm. Very sweet and mild and excellent for frying.

Rocket Coltivata “Cultivated” rocket is easy to grow and adds a spicy note to salads.

Rocket Selvetica This wild rocket grows a little more slowly than the coltivated variety, but has an excellent taste and texture.

Spinach baby leaf Early, intense green baby spinach with a smooth rounded leaves and a semi-erect growth habit and ideal for adding to salads or as a garnish.

Spinach Matador One of the most widely used leaf vegetables in Italy, spinach’s subtle and melting texture compliments delicate dishes of eggs, fish or veal, and is used as a stuffing for pasta, in risottos, frittate and in salads.
